Who would have known twenty six years ago, that this small organization, made up of
sons and daughters of the proud town of Isca, would enjoy such growth and success.
With their spiritual leader San Marziale, guiding their way, it is not too surprising. San
Marziale has been protecting his faithful flock for centuries and his followers pay
homage to him every year throughout the world in Isca, Philadelphia, Kulpmont Pa,
Montreal and Toronto Canada, Australia and South America. The dedicated members
of C.O.S.M.I. had a vision 26 years ago, to keep the spirit and traditions of their Italian
ancestors alive and to pass the torch to their children and grandchildren. To know
ones past, is to know ones future. The group believes in reaching out and promoting to
the local community, Italian Culture, Unity, Pride, Language and Education. They
present six academic scholarships yearly, to local students, who have achieved
success in their school. The highlight of the year, is the Saint Marziale Italian Festival,
in May. We will always remember 2005, the 25th Anniversary Year Festival, in which
we were honored to have join us from Isca Sullo Ionio, His Excellency Bishop Antonio
Ciliberti, Don Antonio-past pastor in Isca and cousin to many, Padre Antonio-pastor
from Isca, Mayor Pierfrancesco Mirarchi, members of town council Luciano Guarna
and Rina Scicchitano. With San Marziale by our side and with the support of all who
know and love him, we hope the next twenty five years will be even better. Viva San
Marziale.
